Beyond the office, I am passionate about serving our community and supporting local organizations. I enjoy traveling, coaching and watching sports, and volunteering throughout the Wilmington area. I graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Business and remain actively involved with ECU Student Affairs. I am honored to have represented North Carolina's 7th Congressional District on the North Carolina Human Relations Commission and to be inducted into the E.A. Laney High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

My wife, Mary, and I have been married for more than 47 years, and we are grateful for the relationships we've built through our family, friends, and the Wilmington community. We look forward to helping our Good Neighbors protect what matters most and prepare for whatever season life brings.
